Every year, Canal and River Halts in Brittany organises a canal-side event called Sunday on the Canal (À dimanche sur le canal!). 2024 is the 18^th year.

The event brings people together at the height of summer to celebrate on the banks of the waterways.

In total, fifteen or so municipalities bordering the canals of our beautiful Brittany are participating in this event on August 4: Canal d’Ille et Rance : Rennes, Evran-St Judoce (le 28 juillet) ; Hédé-Bazouges ; Guipel.
La Vilaine : Saint-Senoux
Canal de Nantes à Brest : Plessé-Guenrouët ; St-Nicolas-de-Redon ; Peillac ; Saint-Marcel ; Val
d’Oust ; Saint-Congard ; Guillac ; Guerlédan ; Gouarec (le 11 août).
Blavet : Pluméliau-Bieuzy. 

Three other municipalities will participate in the festivities but on different dates: – Saint-Judoce and Évran (July 28) – Gouarec (August 11)
